10/10 Kili trek with Zara. Definitely recommend as an agency due to their dedication to provide the best experience possible. At a lower price than most (if not all) other agencies too.
Special thanks to Dickson, Godson, Martin, Juma, Baraka, Gabriel, Yanga and the rest of the team, without whom we wouldn’t have reached the summit.
Couple of suggestions for improvements to Springland hotel (October 2025):
- create proper spaces for safe storage of bigger items. I appreciated the small safe to put passport and cash but this was way too small to fit my 10k€ worth of camera gear, which had to be stored in the luggage room. This is especially important as you’re offering Kili + safari packages, it should be expected that some guests will need to store expensive camera gear.
- remove the WiFi gateway in favour of the typical basic WiFi password setup. The current system is not convenient and I had difficulties connecting some of my devices (and I’m 26, much much younger than your average client from what I’ve seen)
- install additional WiFi repeaters for dead angles. I did not have WiFi in room 57 which is at a corner in the building.

Had the greatest experience trekking Kilimanjaro with the best guides, Kilian, Joseph, and Abel. They did everything possible to give us advice and make sure all three of us in the group summited. They created such a great working environment with the porters too and I really enjoyed spending time with each and every person on our trip be they client, guide, or porter. I highly recommend going with Kilian and Joseph if you are considering trekking Kilimanjaro. Hakuna matata!
